Jason is doing really well with his eating and drinking. Still interested in eating with the spoon and is now eating home cooked meals. The meals are still pretty pureed but I am not going to push him too much too soon. Rather taking it slow until he is comfortable and eating great. He is also drinking nicely - drinks water and milk with the syringe which he does himself now as well but also sometimes walks around with the sippy cup and drinks on his own. Problem is with the sippy cup he doesn't have enough volume so we still use the syringe. He is having 4 "meals" a day with milk and water.
His weight seems to be stuck at 14.3kgs but that doesn't concern me too much. I would rather it stay then drop. We still give him 700mls milk over night which we will have to continue for a while until he is having enough during the day to keep his weight constant.
School closed on Friday for the Easter holidays until the 10th April. So little man is home with mommy and daddy for two weeks. This weekend is our last weekend as a family of 3 and I must say I am a bit sad that I won't have the alone time with Jason anymore. I guess every mother feels like this when their second child is on the way? I have Monday and Tuesday alone with him which we will do some fun mommy, Jason things together and then on Wednesday we welcome Jason's little sister into the world. I wonder how Jason is going to feel about that? Going to be strange being in hospital for three days without my little sweetheart. I am really going to miss him but I guess I will be pretty busy with the little lady. Bruce has taken some time off work to be home with us to help out while Jason is on holiday. Going to have our hands full but I am sure we will get into a routine soon enough!
Just thoroughly enjoying Jason at the moment. He is so active, so full of energy and has quite the personality on him. The changes since eating has been amazing - his speech has improved, his health has improved, his complexion has improved and he is just so full of life and energy.
