Today wasn´t a good day. Jason woke up gagging at 3am and tossed and turned and was very uncomfortable. Today was meant to be a busy day therapy wise but Jason was so sick that we couldn´t do a thing and had to cancel all therapy.
We did go to swimming though and he REALLY tried to put on a happy face and enjoy swimming between gagging. The professor and Eva saw how sick he was and realized that what Jason has is something chronic that needs to be looked at and not behavioral.
The test results came back which unfortunately revealed that he has rotavirus and notavirus, both are viral infections that cause vomiting and gagging and cannot be treated with any medication.
We had to get moved from the 5th floor into the infectious disease ward on the 6th floor to avoid the other patients catching anything. We feel a bit like the outcasts now and germ carriers, not a nice feeling.
In the afternoon I started feeling really light headed and dizzy, then the gastro and vomiting started. The smell or sight of food was a big no no for me! Now I know what poor Jason goes through on a daily basis!!
