Shame our little man isn't 100% himself yet. I am still not sure what it is but I think it's a combination of gastro and a snotty nose. He has been having lots of runny blastey poos, gagging quite a bit, a bit snotty and mucousy. The snot and mucous also tends to cause him to gag as well but I think it's a stomach issue or a combination of the two. Hopefully it will pass soon and will pass without medication. He has done so well without any medicine so I am hoping that we can get through this without meds.
Drinking wise not too bad considering he isn't his happy, healthy self. Yesterday he had 1250mls orally (1050mls paediasure and 200mls water) and today he had 1390mls orally (990mls paediasure and 380mls water). Not too bad considering we are not able to push him too much with the gagging and not feeling great. Last nights milk we were down to 350mls and tonight we are down to 300mls.
His weight has come down 100grams but that is understandable considering the amount of poos and also the night feeds are getting reduced. I was hoping that we would retain weight but we will get back up when he is feeling better.
The gagging does bring back horrible memories but he is sick after all and not gagging for no reason. It's actually amazing he usually gets sick just before polygam and polygam is due on Wednesday. So it's almost like he lasts almost 3 weeks without being sick. This is why Dr. P insists that the polygam is every 3 weeks!
Otherwise Jason is still happy and healthy. A little quieter than normal but he is fine. At least he is still drinking, that's the main thing!!! Want to get rid of these night feeds and see how we go. Not long to go now.
