Jason really has been quite well even though he has these two infections. I've been amazed at his eating and his speech and was just thinking how fantastic he is doing. This morning he did wake up and didn't want to eat and started gagging before school. Then at 9:30am I got a call from school that he wasn't well and was lying down. When I got to him he was all sweaty and really didn't look well. He had a bad runny tummy and really was ill. I was thinking this looks like a hospital admission. When I got home he has another terrible bout of diarrhea and was gagging a lot. I got him in the bath and changed and I checked his temp which was low and checked his stomach for air (with children with feeding tubes they get air trapped in their stomach and the only way to get rid of the air is to "vent" them by using a tube and a syringe in their feeding tube). He had PLENTY of air in his tummy. I gave him water and put him down to sleep. After his sleep we woke up all fine again. So I think it was a combination of the upset tummy and the air in his stomach that was causing pain and discomfort. Hopefully this will pass soon and he will be fine.
Otherwise he is doing so well with his eating, his speech and his writing skills. Last night he had lamb stew and rice for dinner (unblended). He ate it very well. I did consider that maybe this was a reason for the issues today but we were all fine. I thought maybe a bit rich for him? Anyway all is trial and error with Jason. His talking is going amazing. He is speaking so nicely and the words he is coming up with is amazing. He is writing his name and surname at school which is unbelievable!! We are so proud and can't believe what our little man is achieving. We're just loving life with our children.
