The test went off well. Jason was an absolute star. Shame bloods and needles is one thing that he does handle very well. He doesn't complain. I was very interested to see this fancy machine called a vein viewer. I can't believe that after 8 years of being in and out of hospital I have never seen one of these. This fancy machine locates veins using infared light. Purely amazing which meant they didn't have to battle to find a vein. This machine costs about R100,000.00 - crazy but what a piece of equipment.
Jason was in such a happy mood today. The two of us laughed all day and he was so chatty and bubbly. This time together has been good for us. Not the most wonderful place to be but we have had lots of bonding time whilst being here and I have really enjoyed having him all to myself. We have such a bond - an amazing connection and he trusts me so much.
We had a visit from Kaylee (one of Jason's occupational therapists from school) today. Jason LOVES Kaylee - they have such an amazing connection. She brought him some lovely goodies (so spoilt) as well as a card from all of his friends at school. So blessed to have so many kind and caring people looking out for us.
The whole day and tonight he is on a drip to remove the dye from the veins. Lots of fluid for him!
Anyway this was just a short update as I am really tired. Looking forward to my bed.
