The bad news is the urine results revealed that Jason's protein cretinine levels in his urine are 2.56 (normal is 0 - 0.02). When I saw Prof B last Saturday for a follow up after tests he was concerned about the result being 0.6. So 2.56 is quite concerning. Thank goodness Prof B had already phoned me this morning to say that he was going to come and see Jason tomorrow afternoon (this was before he saw the bloods). The urine test also revealed ketones present. Ketones are broken down fat cells. When your body is breaking down fat instead of carbohydrates, it means one of two things. Your body is in starvation mode or you are suffering with diabetes. Jason has had ketones before when he was dehydrated as well. Scary to think how the body works.
We had a lovely visit from the ladies (teachers) at Jason's school. It was lovely to see them and so touching for them to come and see Jason and myself. They brought him a beautiful hand made card and a lovely art set. Jason was very chuffed to see them.
Well my eyes are so heavy now, literally shutting while I type. Time to get some rest. Tomorrow is another day. I am still hopeful that we get to go home tomorrow but I guess that will all depend on Prof. B and how tonight and tomorrow morning goes.
