Anyway Jason has been really nauseous and not keeping much in. Last night he was retching and vomiting between sleeping. We are both exhausted. On the way home from Howick Bruce and I knew that we needed to get him to the hospital for a drip. He needed fluids. Quite often what happens as soon as he receives fluids via the drip and Zofran for the nausea he comes right. It’s amazing what IV fluids do. The paed on call examined Jason and clinically there is nothing wrong besides the reason we are here obviously. We will see if the bloods come up with anything. Tomorrow morning we will repeat the urine protein creatinine levels and see if there is any improvement there. I hope his kidneys are alright. This always concerns me.
Jason has been doing so well and progressing so nicely with his eating. This is just a little bump in the road and hopefully we will be out of here soon and back to normal. Jason always bounces back so beautifully and hopefully he will be 100% shortly.
Well I am buggered, this was just a quick update. If I don’t update regularly I end up forgetting. Hopefully this is just a short stay for fluids and we can go home as soon as he stops the nausea and I can feed him again.
