Sorry for the lack of updates. My computer decided also to get some sort of virus and eat away all my internet usage. So internet has been down for a few days.
Jason is doing much better. We are still dealing with runny poos but I think the rotavirus takes a while to get out of your system. I guess Jason has these poos on a daily basis anyway and this is why we had no idea that he actually had rotavirus.
It is nice to have a happy smiling little boy. Being woken up to him singing in his bed instead of vomiting is music to our ears. For our little boy to wake up and run through to our bedroom and announce his presence is wonderful.
We have started the new medication while in hospital so I am not sure if that is working or whether this is a little break. We really hope that it's the medication working!! Just so nice to have a happy healthy little boy for a change.
Soon things will be back to routine again. It takes a while to get back to a routine after hospital. Next week we will start therapy again and get back to things.
Today he put a rib bone to his lips and tasted it. Nothing spectacular but he put it to his lips and tasted and that is the main thing. Hopefully eating and his willingness to eat will come back soon!!!
Shame he has lost a lot of weight again and is a bit skinny again. BUT that is something that we are use to and he will start gaining again once we are able to get his full feeds in again. At the moment I am managing feeds of 60 to 80mls at a time but hope to increase it to 100mls again. Don't want to push it though. Just too happy to have no gagging and vomiting. He will gain as long as he doesn't gag and vomit and poo so much.
I see we still have lots of followers on our website. Not too many comments but I am able to see how many people read a day and it's great to see how many people are following Jason's story. Thank you for your support and prayers!!
