Well the gagging and vomiting is back again and really bad. Started on Monday again. I just don't know anymore, I don't know what is going on in his little body and it's heart breaking to watch him so unhappy and so uncomfortable. I can't even hold him because he doesn't want to be touched when he is feeling like this. Bruce and I try everything, before a feed we put the tube in his tummy and the air comes shooting out like a rocket. Where is all this air coming from? In the morning he is his worst, his nose is very congested which doesn't help with all the mucous sitting in his throat, that just makes him gag and vomit more and the more he gags, the more he gets himself in a state, the more air he is swallowing. It's a viscious cycle.
Trying to get to school and work is a huge mission. Jason is vomiting every morning but we have managed to get him to shool and Jeanette his school teacher has been absolutely fantastic looking after him. Some days he is really bad when I get there and she has no problem with taking him and looking after him so I can go to work and get a break too.
Today was a really bad day. We have only managed 120mls of formula the whole day. Every day we are losing out on calories. At the moment we are only managing between 700-800mls a day when he is meant to have 1000mls.
The only comfort we have is we only have 2 weeks to go before we leave. Gosh I hope they can help our little man!
On a brighter note we were in the Daily News with a follow up article.
