Jason's paed is thinking he has a secondary infection and we are treating with an antibiotic anyway. We can't take chances being immunodeficient and his infection markers were 111 where normal is less than 5. We will be here until Friday or Saturday to complete the course of iv antibiotic.
We have a diagnosis Coronavirus 229E. This was picked up on the nose suction they did yesterday. We are still waiting for the results of the cultures. First time Jason has had this one. From what I've read not too serious, more like the common cold which is what I have (I can't say it's fun either). Jason on the other hand is still having fevers since Friday. Fevers spiking all day. We medicate, it goes down then spikes again. Fevers are causing gagging and difficult to feed. We also did an enema this morning because he's been blocked up. Thank goodness for the drip!
