Jason's veins were difficult to find with all the needle marks still being there and the infiltrated hand from the week before but they managed to find a vein on the foot that they could use. We did all the usual bloods and tests and Jason's infection levels were normal again. He still hasn't been 100% but given what he has been through this month we can understand why he is so lethargic. He is also dehydrating very quickly. His little lips have even been bleeding. His tummy isn't right yet either.
He's just such a little champ. Have a look at him doing his homework whilst in hospital. He has come such a long way with his reading, writing and numbers. We are so proud of him and blessed by his amazing teachers that spend hours with him!
Unfortunately in the late afternoon he started with fevers again. We think this was a reaction to the octagam as it seems that his infection levels were fine. We are waiting on the blood culture but I am sure if there was something we would have heard already. It was Bruce's turn to relieve me at 4pm and shame they had to sit in hospital until 11pm as the rate had to be slowed right down and then they had to wait for the fevers to be down to make sure that he was okay to go home. Luckily his paed was in the hospital until late and he was keeping an eye on him.
