The morning started off great. We only woke up at 8:45am with a knock on the door by the paed. Haven't slept in, in years. The paed was very pleased with what he saw and heard. Happy that the temps were down and happy that his chest was sounding clearer. He has spoken to Jason's neurologist and the plan for next year is we will repeat the brain MRI, do an EEG and Polygam every 3 weeks. Jason was happy when he woke up and wanted to fish, a VERY good sign.
After physio I gave J his medicine and 50mls of his milk slowly. About an hour later suddenly his face was red, his body was on fire, his temperature was up and he was gagging again. Who knows if it's the medication, Jason reacting to the speed of the feeds, the feeds, just being sick, who knows? So the rest of the day he was the same. We did manage to start his milk via the pump for a while but we have to take it VERY slowly and give him breaks in between. As soon as the temps rise he starts gagging. Still a mystery.
Tonight he is feeling a little better, he is now fast asleep hugging his new pillow that granny made for him and brought today. Hopefully we will have a good night and tomorrow he will be better.
When are we going home?? I have no idea, we will see what tomorrow brings.
