The professor then came up to see us, said to continue with the tube weaning, by day Jason gets nothing but must have food and drinks available to him and by night we can tube via the pump 500mls.
We got permission to go for a walk finally, we are still in isolation waiting to see whether the rotavirus has passed. They said it's too early to test, we were EXTREMELY bummed because we were hoping that we could go to the B&B for the weekend the 3 of us. Will see what tomorrow brings.
Anyway we managed to go on a little walk. We found the lovely park Joanne was telling us about and on the way there I put some pum-bar chips and a meat stick and some cold drink for Jason to take if he wishes. He just ignored the food on the way there, drank some water and tasted the cold drink in the park and to our surprise and with us totally ignoring him he stuffed his mouth full of pum-bar chips and ate some meat stick on the way home. It was great to see but only problem is he kept that in his mouth for over 3 hours!! Got to ask the professor how we get around that one?
The park was really lovely with a huge lake in the middle. Bruce of course wanted to know about the fishing because he noticed some fishing rods at a little coffee shop but there was no-one to ask. Jason just ran around having fun and of course kicking his shoes off - he hates shoes!! Eva we tried!!
On our way home we took a detour to try and find the pharmacy that we were starting to think doesn't exist but hooray we found it and finally have some headache tablets and diarrhoea medication, which is a day too late!! Oh and to our huge delight, especially me thinking I could at least buy a pie, we found a Spar "Spar, good for you". Well this Spar wasn't that good for me, they have no pies!! Pies don't exist in Austria and I believe Germany - thanks Kerry for that info! So my pie hunting has come to an end.
So the diarrhoea and vomiting is better for the 3 of us. Jason did do 2 poos today and the last one was like pure water - oh dear hope that doesn't stop us getting out of isolation. He is like this at home as well, goes straight through the nappy and onto the floor!!
I spoke to the gastroenterologist today, they took blood this morning and we wait for the results and she said we will try and schedule the biopsy/endoscope for Monday or Tuesday this week coming as she will be away for 10 days on conference. So hopefully that will happen before she goes away.
You don't even want to know what my measly little supper is!! A whole tub, a big tub full of cream cheese and chives with a radish and bread!! Whipidee doo da!! At least the pudding looks nice, yoghurt!! I have lost 3 kilos already!! So all of you that thought we were tube weaning Jason, well I am being forcefully weaned as well!!
Jason's weight is going well. We arrived here at 11.85kgs, two days ago he was 11.3kgs and today back up to 11.85kgs so we are back to where we started.
On tv today they had "Maya the bee" anyone remember old Maya and Willie!! I haven't seen that since I was a little girl. Oh and also Andrew Desmond was on CNN, a friend's brother in law from South Africa!
Hopefully if all goes well we will be let out of isolation soon but I have this terrible feeling that it may only be Monday or Tuesday. Sure not much happens on a weekend and don't know if the lab will be open to test to see if Jason is clear.
Well time to go and eat my lovely cream cheese on bread, you lucky buggers that braaied in South Africa!!! Sad, very sad!
Some pictures of us at the park today.
